Legrand is a French industrial group historically based in Limoges in the Limousin region. In 2011, the firm was the largest global producer of switches and sockets,[citation needed] with 20% of the global market, and in cable management (15% of the global market), generating 75% of its turnover internationally.[citation needed] The group is also expanding its product range in sustainable development and energy-saving technologies and has developed new products for photovoltaic installations and lighting control.

A former tech from Fairfield, NJ shares his/her experience working for Legrand in a review published by INDEED: "Endless blockades for the employees. Mandatory, unpaid overtime including weekend hours (Saturdays AND Sundays). Leadership cannot execute a change without creating major problems that last for months if not years (SAP, Tijuana factory, C2G integration)"

Tech (Former Employee) says

"Endless blockades for the employees. Mandatory, unpaid overtime including weekend hours (Saturdays AND Sundays). Leadership cannot execute a change without creating major problems that last for months if not years (SAP, Tijuana factory, C2G integration)."

Machine Operator (Former Employee) says

"So stressful and no matter how hard u work its not good enough bad supervisors to fast paced not a friendly place to work was really disappointed in the place"

Customer Service Assistant (Current Employee) says

"Worse place to work, managers with zero understanding of anything. No professionalism at all everyone’s business is discussed. Bullies are made to look like the victims. Supervisor likes to play dumb and the manager does nothing and has no respect for her at all, she gets treated like a skivvy and the manager gets praised for walking up and down the office giggling. Worse job stay clear"

Area Sales Manager (Former Employee) says

"majority of people there were pleasant to work with however, company over the years became more & more less interested in customers & more about box ticking. totally disillusioned with management & strategy of company towards the end of my career there."

Material Handler/Forklift Driver (Current Employee) says

"If you're looking for a "tell all" of sorts about Legrand, then look no further. Despite all of my prior experience being discredited by the staffing agency (Prologistix) I took a job at entry level with the hopes of advancing. More than a year later I am at Material Handler 3. My wife hired on there as well. Right away we observed how select people get to take it easy, even taking extra breaks while everyone else works like slaves, some to the point of injury. They haven't gone 100 days free of work related injuries since I've been there although their little safety board reports otherwise. I have watched supervisors immediately try to blame the employees who were hurt there. After working there about 90 days a Lead position became available in my respective area. There were several prospects for the position. Myself, having over 2 decades of supervisory experience, 8 of which in a relevant field, a Trainer who had long since paid her dues to the company, an amazing Auditor who knows our systems better than anybody, and last but not least, a Loader from another department. The loader was everyone's buddy so he got the position. LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER HE GOT PROMOTED he had the nerve to become extremely volatile toward my wife, screaming, using profanity, name calling, and he even kept stepping toward her like he was about to get violent. There were at least 5 witnesses including a Supervisor. My wife ended her shift because she didn't feel safe at work and went to Human Resources the next day even though I was prepared to have our attorney meet us at work."

I've held a few. (Current Employee) says

"I've been with the company for 11 years this year. I'm still there. Since new management has taken over, everything has gone to the dogs. This new management are all young, fresh out of college, with no real experience yet in the field. But you can't tell them that. Because they have a piece of paper that says they went to college, therefore they are smarter than you, and don't give a care in the world about anything that the older employees who have been there for years, and know how the business works, says. They're driving themselves into the ground under the guise that things are getting better and they're more into teamwork. Yeah right. There's too many bosses and not enough workers. The left hand never knows what the right hand is doing because communication sucks and despite the effort, has never gotten better. When I started, and up until new management took over, I was happy to come into my job. I was happy to be there and perform. I was unbothered by overtime, anything. So happy. Now, I hate everything. I hate my job. I hate the mental anguish and being put down, disrespected, and belittled by the management when i've been doing my job successfully for years. It's not just me. You could cut the tension in this place with a knife. All the employees are on edge all the time because management keeps us this way. It's no longer an enjoyable place to work. If at all possible, i'd avoid this place like the plague. They want you to do more than just what your job entails, because without you doing more than one job, you're valueless to the company. (Yes. I had aIt's a job if you don't have one.The management. I feel like if they threw the new management out, things would be so much better and go back to normal."

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"Talk about employees behind their backs... racist... I’m Muslim And made references to Aladdin and magic carpet for my prayer mat would never work there again"

Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) says

"I would never work for this place again, very stressful environment, management treats employees like you are nothing. They tell you to talk to them if you have any issues then they run tight back to your supervisor and tell it all, your supervisor in turn retaliates against you for speaking with management, I literally got sick from stress juat pulling up in the parking lot. Always an anxious feeling working here like nothing you ever did was good enough.Management sucks, supervisors and leads are awful"

Packer/Shipper (Former Employee) says

"Do not get sick or hurt nor allow children to do either cause they do not care about them nor you!!! They just care about themselves and what benefits them and if anything interferes with that they will end your assignment quick!!"

Order Picker (Current Employee) says

"Management wants us to do double the lines we currently do with no extra errors. They can't understand that we have already sacrificed quality, safety, and housekeeping to get the lines per hour that we do now. Management has also reminded us repeatedly that we are nothing to Legrand. The management team acts like they have no idea what is going on and are just making stuff up as they go. No one feels like they have been properly trained for their jobs and are told to just manage to do it."

Coordinator, Forklift Operator, Material Handler (Former Employee) says

"probably one of the worst jobs i've ever had. management was poor. their point system wasn't accurate. they at least gave you free food sometimes.they are huge on safety. no time to for personal life.hoursmanagement, no weekends"

Engineering Manager (Former Employee) says

"If you want to be at a place in where growth is non-existent, then this is the place for you. This company does not reward hard work but rather, rewards those who do very little and have the worst attitudes and characters.NonePretty much everything"

Maitnance coordinator (Former Employee) says

"normal typical day of work .. friendly people great boss easy environment. good communication worked well with others ..everyone loved me"

Ladder tray temp (Former Employee) says

"The place simply sucks most of the workers are all ex cons or drug dealers. Management never does a thing but complain about only making 300,000.00 the first quarter. A lot of reverse racism. Any of the few temps that actually work usually get fired or have the sense enough to quit.noneeverything"

Picker/Packer and Inventory (Former Employee) says

"It was great but their all about their money and can care less if you respected on an assignment. It sucks It Sucks It Sucks Its Sucks It Sucks It Sucks It Sucks"

Menor aprendiz- auxiliar administrativo (Former Employee) says

Legal transcriptionist (Former Employee) says

"Interesting cases. Learned a lot about the SEC. Transcribed court cases into legal form from recorded trails and hearings, depositions, et cetera.Could work from home.Terrible pay."

Technician (Former Employee) says

"I worked at this company for four yrs as a production worker. The only good thing about the company were my fellow co workers. The management is totally out of touch with the workers. There expectations are ridiculous. They want more and more production from you, but they are cutting your pay, making your breaks shorter, and not listening to anything you have to say. It is a very negative environment, and everybody's morale is very low. Which is understandable . Plus Portuguese and Bosnians have secured all the highest paying positions so good luck trying to move up because everything is pre determined.Tuition reimbursement, 40 hrs guaranteedHave to be Portuguese or Bosnian for a promotion, very weak union"

Production Operative (Former Employee) says

"Workforce are fine, management are a joke, no atmosphere no Xmas spirit, no perks to working there, have removed chairs so people have to stand for the day, office staff still have chairs, took people on for a week and then told them they were no longer required, treat people like they are scum, would never recommend it to anyone, minimum pay to be tret like animals, avoid the place."

Sales Manager (Former Employee) says

"It is just an opportunity lost by the company to be a market leader, giving away to petty politics and pathetic management. Employees would want to exit the next month after joining. You are safe until you please your bosses or you move according to their wish. Opt if nothing else is available."
